What the (Academy for the) Mathematical Sciences can do for us. Professor Dame Alison Etheridge DBE FRS, Professor Tom Crick MBE FLSW, Professor Cathy Hobbs FIMA CMATH, and other senior members of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences, visit Cardiff School of Mathematics on 14th of May. This meeting is sponsored by the Learned Society of Wales.Dr Ana Ros Camacho of Cardiff University is awarded the Anne Bennett Prize for her work on categorical proofs of the Landau--Ginzburg/Conformal Field Theory correspondence and her dedication to the advancement of women in mathematical physics.
Professor Maggie Chen is Theme Lead for Financial Stability at the new UKRI AI for Collective Intelligence research hub.
